5 Ways to Kick Start 2019

 

At the Beginning of year we take time to complete our New Years Rituals and start a NEW ME mentality. By the end of February we have all completely forgotten what it was that we initially promised ourself we would do. Well just like you I am also tired of starting over and ending up in the same location. This year lets do something different lets take smaller steps that will lead to a bigger difference. With patience and consistency the life that we want is just a few actions away. So lets go on to 5 things you can do now to kick start the New Year and  Manifest what you truly want.
  1. Forgive yourself 
 
In order to move on we need to be able to have a clear way. And one way to do this is by forgiving. Forgiving  yourself and lifting that burden on your shoulder. Like I mentioned above we start the year or any goal wanting to do so much. We many time fail and then blame ourself for failing goals that where unachievable to being with. We don’t only need to forgive ourself for “failing” to complete something but also for many other small things we might fail to realize and hurt us. Like not giving your self enough worth or for comparing yourself to other in different situations. So take sometime and write yourself a letter where you tell you self how much you appreciate all you HAVE done and how you forgive yourself for not doing it all. Your letter can start as follows and add what fits your situation.
Dear ( your name) ,
I forgive you for not knowing when to stand up for yourself
I forgive you for not knowing your worth
I forgive you for comparing yourself to others and not living in the moment
I forgive you for starting something and not finishing it.
We have learned so much and I now know we can put ourself above anything and value our body, time and space.
Sincerely the person that loves you the most ,
Your name
 
  1. Declutter 
Take time to clear out your space. Now ,DO NOT go crazy cleaning out every single corner of your home, but start small. What room in your house do you spend the most time in. If it’s your kitchen clear out all the cabinets. Throw or donate anything that is of no use to you. Make a place for very spice and herb do not have them piled up or spilling but really deep clean. Make sure everything is  easy to see that way when you are cooking you will find that you need. Making your kitchen a happy area. The end goal is to make each room in your home a happy place. A place where when you walk in you feel the light air and smile. I started my decluttering journey in my bedroom. I took everything out of my closet and rearranged it in a way where I am able to see my clothing when I open my closet. Each drawer has a designated clothing family living in it, and everything is folded a specific way. The reason I started with my bedroom is the following. Every time I used to get ready I would have the hardest time fining anything to wear. I would use the excuse I have nothing to wear when in reality I just did not know where anything was. Decluttering my clothing has saved me money head aches each morning. I have moved on to decluttering my living room and I am so excited to see what becomes of it.
  1. Write a plan for the Next year, but start small. 
 
Because in the past we have become overwhelmed with goals thats are too big we will start small. One way to do this is by having monthly or seasonal goals instead  of goals that are opened with no date to achieve by. Having a new goal each month we are able to hold ourself accountable each week and track progress. Keep in mind that just because a goal is small this does not mean the impact will not be large. Lets say for the first three months of 2019 you main focus points are losing weight and saving money. Your small goals can go as follows:
Week one : You can walk and always chose walking up stairs instead of an elevator. You will also make coffee home and pay yourself $3 each morning and put it aside.
Week Two : You will walk everywhere, complete 20 minutes of cardio, make coffee home and pay yourself $3 each morning, you will also plan you meal and cook home. Each afternoon during lunch time you will pay yourself $10 or the equivalent of that you would normally spend on food. You will also give up bread for this week.
Week Three : You will walk everywhere, complete 35 minutes of cardio, make coffee home and pay yourself $3 each morning, you will also plan you meal and cook home. Yes, NO BREAD. Each afternoon during lunch time you will pay yourself $10 or the equivalent of that you would normally spend on food. You will also stay in this weekend and pay yourself $50 or the equivalent of what you would have spend on Saturday brunch.
Week Four : You will walk everywhere, complete 45 minutes of cardio, make coffee home and pay yourself $3 each morning, you will also plan you meal and cook home. Each afternoon during lunch time you will pay yourself $10 or the equivalent of that you would normally spend on food. Yes, This week you will also stay in this weekend and pay yourself $50 or the equivalent of what you would have spend on Saturday brunch. But treat yourself to a nice class, it can be anything like spinning or hot yoga.
Keep in mind the above is just an example of how small steps add up big goals. Eventually theses small steps will become a patterns.
  1. Unfollow, block, and mute 
 
It looks like our love for social media is not going away  anywhere anytime soon. So it is up to us how we use it and what we get from it. The simple act of unfollowing any one that does not align with who you are now or who you are trying to be will have a major impact on your day to day life.
So what are you going to do?
Take some time and go through all the account you follow and if it is no use or inspiration unfollow. If your tired of listening to Kardashian or Trump drama mute their names and post associated with them will not appear on your feed. If your following thousands of accounts and have no time to go through them don’t be afraid to just temporarily deactivate and create a brand new name that consist of follows that only inspire, motivate or teach you something.
  1. Visualize the change 
 
By now we all know the power that visualization and manifestation have. Of-course I am not here to say that what you want will get done with out the work because it will NOT. But taking time to visualize exactly what you want will help you get there faster.
Take sometime to sit by yourself. Close your eyes and see where your going next, planning on Traveling this year visualize yourself getting to the airport, see the terminals and the names of all the airline, see yourself getting in line to get your bag check and see yourself making in though TSA and getting on the plane. Breath in and feel the rush of takeoff and safely landing at your destination. Planning on getting a new home, close your eyes and visualize your self putting money into the downpayment account. See yourself sitting down with your lawyer and realtor singing the documents , feel the metal of your new key in your hand.
I think you see what I am trying to say. VISUALIZE what you KNOW you will get.
Everything is a process ad if you fail trust me you won’t be the first one. But its up to you to make the life you want. There are thousand of people getting paid good money to tell other how to live there life when in reality we all have the power to decide that for ourselves. Yes, getting help is sometimes the first step but no matter how much help you get if you are not willing to start you will not. So Lets make this year we built a foundation and build upon of it one small step at a time.
